2000 honda civic se speedometer
Hey whassup peoplez? I've got a bit of a problem... or shall I say it's my brothers?
He's got a 2000 Honda civic se and his speedometer just went bezerk.... Now I'm trying to diagnose this properly,
When the car first starts up, the speedometer goes straight to 30kms/hr and stays there when it's supposed to be at 0!!!
Then when the car is moving, no matter at what speed, sometimes it will give the right speed and sometimes it will drop back down to 0. I'm trying to figure out whether it is the speed sensor or if it may be one of the grounding cables. Does anyone have a copy of the 2000 civic repair manual that I can perhaps d/l to read over?????
I don't want to actually have to bring this in... when it is probably just a small problem that can be easily fixed.

definitely check all of your grounds first..
i've seen it happen to the speedo before as well as seriously affecting the tach..
change all the ones you can find, the oem ones IMO suck..
i'd do an 8 gauge off the block and a 4 off the battery to start (replacing the stock ones..)..
