01 LX> Changing Knock Sensor. Anyone have service manual

Hey Guys,

My check engine light keeps coming on and my OBD II Scanner is reporting a "Knock Sensor A Fault".

Does anyone have the service manual for the car that could scan the pages related to the knock sensor for me please... i want to change it. Or if you can tell me where the sensor is.

Its a 2001 LX 1.7L Manual

My email is yomomma@rogers.com

Thanks alot,

Bart

#6, the one with the red box around it.

you're lucky, on my year model, it's way at the back of the engine... you have it easy.

if after changing it you still are having problems, I'll post the other sections.

its a pain in the *** to change from wht i remeber.....its tucked rite under the intake mani by the timming belt.....u gotta be under the car and reach way up through the suspension and harness.....way up to the top.....and i think the acctual sensor comes with a pigtail attached to it.....its not the sensor alone like on older hondas...............hope this helps

hahaha well it looked easy from that diagram.... anyways

DTC P0325:Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Reset the ECM/PCM (see page 11-4).
Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm (min-1) with no load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
Hold the engine at 3,000-4,000 rpm (min-1) for at least 60 seconds.
Is DTC P0325 indicated?

YES
- Go to step 4.

NO
- Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires at the knock sensor and at the ECM/PCM.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the knock sensor 3P connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Measure voltage between knock sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.

(red/blue) wire on the KS and ground should produce 5 V

if not, check the same wire on the ECU side. If 5V present there, then the red/blue wire has a bad connection in it somewhere. If there is not 5 V on the ECU side, then your ECU is bad.
