wiring woes...

well i have 2 known problems happening...

the first is with my alarm... now the wire from the alarm that is supposed to flash the corners is supposed to be connected to a red/black wire i was told... and everything works fine... but sometimes something happens and that whole circuit shorts and i have no driving lights... just headlights, brake and turn signals... so it sucks for driving at night...

but if i just cut that wire i can get all the exterior lights to work but not the gauge cluster, and nothing ever shorts and works fine...

so am i maybe connecting it to the wrong wire for the alarm flash thing? :shrugs:

now the other problem really baffles me... it happened once like a year ago and never came back...

but basically yesterday when i was leaving work i turn my car on and it starts fine, but a relay keeps clicking open close over and over... so i thought thats gay, so i turned off the car and started it again and it never came back...

till today after work... i start my car like normal.. walk back in to punch out then i go back in my car and as i sit down the relay clicking comes back :shrugs: so i turn the car off and back on again and it goes away... then as i'm driving it comes on and off for varying time intervals...

it appeared to be set off by the car being bumped kinda... so i would imagine it to be the alarm... but why? it wasn't even recieving power :shrugs: whatever this relay was it didn't appear to affect anything within the car so i'm really puzzled...

anyone have any advice other then check for shorts or anything like that cause i've done that over and over to no avail....:cry:

Could be the alarm module itself that's screwed...

wiring issue .... shouldn't be too hard to fix.... just make sure it's all wired correct do you have a wiring diagram?

I'd tear that fooker out and re-install it with soldered connections and loom and all the proper hookups. that's what I did cuz my saturn came with a DIY install, and it looked like ass, there was loose wires everywhere. I tore it all out and re-installed it. It was installed correctly to begin with, I just didn't fancy the loose wireing that a thief could easily snip... and I moved the valet switch to a super seeeecret position where you wouldn't think to look... ever
