Want recaros, but cant afford, need alternatives
I want a set of red recaros so bad but unfortunately im no money bags and cant afford, so i was wondering if i could get some input on some good alternatives.
i was looking at a Recaro look-a-like from teknotik
http://www.teknotik.com/product_sect...p?pid=98&cat=9
but have no idea how comfortable and supportive it would be in comparison to the real thing. (note: this is not for racing, just for looks + comfort)
the other alternative i was considering was tenzoR seats
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Tenzo-R-Racing-Bu...QQcmdZViewItem
I just wanted to know if anyone has any feedback on either product, or if you could offer any others. in the summer time i will be looking at getting recaro's for my rear however.
If anyone has any helpful advice please help me out.

The knock-offs from Teknotik are really comfy.
I've sat in both recaros and the knock-offs and the knock-offs are too far off from the real thing.
They are just a bit smaller.
GO to Teknotik and sit in a couple of them.

Not sure if you are looking for a look alike as far as style or just the red colour but you might want to check these out, nice seatshttp://www.meganracing.com/products/...e.asp?catid=70

no knockoff could ever replace a recaro srd feel.
its complete different feel and comfort.
with most knockoffs they tend to wear out faster and also are too uncomfortable and not enough padding.
the teknotik ones are pretty good for the price however like every other knockoff it doesnt even come close to the real deal. You will start to feel uncomfortable sitting in them after a couple of days or long drives.

The teknotiks do support you very well. I was amazed at how different my car felt inthe corners once I had them in.
Comfort wise, it depends on your body. They are much more conforming than your stock seats. Dont expect to be gangsta leaning in your civic after you get a pair of these. Oh, and your gf with the bubble butt might not like it too much either (just a heads up).

Aent these seats rated for off road use only?? I wouldnt trust these knockoff seats one bit, you dont wanna be kissing your steering wheel after getting rear ended because the cheapass reclining mechanism. Buy quality parts or stay OEM
