A/V setup deal

I hope that this is the right place to post this and that im not breaking any rules. I just wanted to let anyone looking for a good quality "starter" video setup in there car see this deal. For $500 CDN you get a screen, fm antenna and a DVD/SVCD/DVCD/CD/MP3.

If i didnt want a bigger flip down screen I would pick this up for sure.

I see that don't mention the resolution of the screen.

Hmmm, I wonder why?

Not if the resolution of the screen is crap (ie..... low).

I have seen DVD/CD/MP3/VCD/SVCD/MPEG/Kodak picture CD (with remote) combo stand alone players for around $225 Canadian. (and they look alot nicer than that big Bertha player imo)

I could of gotton a 350,000 pixel 7" wide flip down screen w/remote, for around $200 Canadian from the same place. (they had lower resolution ones for cheaper). They also had 5" screens (without flip) for around $125 Canadian (325,00 pixels). All these prices are exchange rates at $1.40 US/CAN.

I saw complete combo's starting at $200 Canadian. (now that's cheap).

The next time you are at a meet, ask me where.

So don't tell me it's a good deal, because it really isn't that good.

I would consider it OK, if you didn't want to do the leg work of finding the good deals.

BTW, you wouldn't have to travel more than an hour or so to find these deals. (worth the trip imo)

And no, I won't post here where these deals are, and I won't say through PM either.

And yes, they are legal with bills. :p

BTW, do you have any speaker carpet left over.....or do you know someone that has a scrap peice? I need to cover a sectional (under a piece of furnature). I don't need very much.....maybe about 2 feet or so of carpet. Black or dark grey/black ozite would be perfect.

Hmm where are these deals? :)

I know its not the "BEST" deal but when you look at what some companies are asking for just a screen then its fairly good. The screens are made by toshiba btw.

I dont have any speaker carpet sorry, at the next meet ill talk to you about the screens.....i need a 15inch flipdown and 3 other smaller screens;).

BTW, thanks for the carpet answer thug.......but keep an eye out for some.....I don't need very much of it.

scarlemthug 04-Jan-2004 09:55 PM

What do you need it for, ill look around the house for some material depending on what its needed for:).

PULOVR 04-Jan-2004 09:57 PM

It's to cover the bottom of a love seat. The original cover is riped, and I want to cover up the hole. That's why I was lokking for a peice around 2 feet.

scarlemthug 04-Jan-2004 10:57 PM

im sure you can pick something up at wal mart or post in the classifides;).
