stereo noob

I'm sure this question has probably been answered before but.. i have a 06 EX and i want to hook up my sub with amp to the stock stereo for now. My brother was tellin me that i have to buy some sort of module for the head unit. Could someone clarify this for me please? Can't handle the stock speakers anymore and ive only had it 4 days! Thanks.

As long as your stereo has rca output to connect the amp to it, you should be fine. Also you need to hook up a remote cable. Im sure there is one in the harness that connects to the deck. If not you could always just connect it to anything that powers on when you turn the key to acc mode, since Remote wire will just trigger the amp that deck is on and that it has to power on also.

GL with install.

There is an actual device you can use your rear speaker wires that will take out the highs and use RCAs to your Class D Amp. I've seen it once on a clients ugly... ugly install.

You'll still need to still supply power, Remote Line, and a ground though.
