Exclamation SRS light(ON) + Horn x no workie= Safety Fail

Ok, thats it Im Frustrated!!!

I bought this EG about 2 weeks back (Aug 8th) Its been modified body wise, Nothing major to the engine. Anyways...I got the emissions done with ease, passed with flying colours.

Then when I went to the mechanic to get it Safety, he says

#1 the car is too low
#2 the corner lights are clear, they need reflectors

Corner lights I know arent a big deal, and as for the height of the car, its on adjustables so ts no big deal for me to raise it...its just that Im lazy.

Couple of dayz later my engine light started to go on/off, and my speedo would just stop working on its own. Mind you this was right after the freak storm we had 2 weeks back so I figured that some condesation probably formed. The engine light went away and the speedo rarely turns off on me.

BUT the SRS light is on now for some unknown reason, Ive read alotta forums, Ive reset that thing like 8-10 times, but it detects something and comes back on. The seller tells me that he did check the horn before he sold it to me and it worked perfectly.

Now my problem is that I still dont have this car safetied...I got a SRS light that wont go away (and no Im not gonna pull my bulb out or disconnect the airbag cables). On top of that my horn wont work...

Going to go home soon and check my cruise control on the way, then once Im home Im going to check the cables inside the steering wheel column and see if they are loose. And then pray to God that little lepricorns pop out of the ground overnight and fix my car to a brand new condition...maybe even magically roll back my kms.

But on a serious note, I'd really like some help on what I should check. This is my first car so Im learning every step of the way, and theres no better way to learn then from ANOTHER'S experience.

thanks

maybe the clockspring/airbag/steering wheel had been removed, then put it back before u bought the car......

check the harness and the clockspring, maybe the clockspring wasn't installed properly

I went back to the seller, him and I just ran through all the relays along with one of his friends. We basically tested every possible reason why the SRS would be on. The only thing that we cant do is physically see if it is the airbag. I have a feeling it is the relay that just stopped working. Either wayz, we put in a make shift horn, and the SRS "magically" just got unplugged. So yea...I just wana get it safety first so I can get a REAL plate on it rather then this cheezy 10-day permit. Once I have the plates then I will take my time out and fix this problems properly... Oh well, wish me luck
