sport seats...which ones are affordable?

Im not fat... Im 165lbs @ 6 2'. And I want one that will be nice and supportive but not uncomfortable on long trips.

Ive looked into some like, sparco sprint, recaro furious, and corbeau. But I dunno where I can get a hands on feeling of them

Anyone know?

Based on previous experience, I've ruled out a few as follows. Ive sat in rsx leather chairs...and they dont feel good...not supportive enough. I dunno why people like it so much. I've even sat in the rsx cloth chairs, and they feel way too soft, and unsupportive. the lumber support is lacking...the side bolstering is too soft, and in general the seats do not feel too good.

I like the new Tiburon fabric seats, cause they are basically a very muscular pumped up bucket seat..,they are much stiffer while being comfy. Not good for broad shoulders though. The seat feels a little bit too hard at times. The fabric itself is a weaveBut I cant find any of these anywhere.

I've sat in evo8 seats, and they feel wicked. Lots of lumbar support, and lots of room for people with broad shoulders. Comfy padded seat base, with very tight side bolstering. Probably the best seat ive ever sat in., but even when used, they sell for $1,200. But essentially they are the same as the "Recaro sport" production model.

Anyhow, leave input on what seats youve tried.

Well I can say that I find my del sol seats supportive...but on long trips my back begins to hurt...I'm 6'3. Its a good idea to see if you can "try" them out before you fork over $1200 for seats. Have you ever tried out Sparco Torino's?

You'll have to do some searchs and see who you can find who has the seats that you want.

I have Type R seats, adjustable lumbar support, they're much better than stock eg and ek seats.

Del sol seats were too stiff to my liking, but they have that nice bucket feel to them.

I sat in torinos at a store once, those are really nice but pretty pricey.

You could go with replicas to save money, automotive warehouse sells them, I'd assume they have some you can sit in b4 you purchase them.

Not as many as I'd hoped. I just got cleared my credit card bill from all the other stuff I bought... whoa! I may have to hold off on my dreams of boost.

But the new interior? Yup, that plan is still on!

Ep3 seats are definitely better than stock seats, but they are not comparable to any recaro/sparco/corbeau seats...

Over here on TCC, people sell them for like 800..no thnx., I'd rather spend a bit more and get brand new recaros, or evo seats.

psst, come here, I have something to tell you.

No, come closer.

Closer.

Okay, now listen... and don't tell this to anyone...

EP3 SEATS ARE RECAROS! They are EXACTLY the same as the Recaros from ITRs, with the exception of the writing, and of the shape of the head region.

Last time I check, USDM EP3 seats are just Honda designed seats. JDM EP3 however, are Recaros.

Unless you meant JDM.

I believe the EP3 seats are designed and built by recaro without the name on the seat. Does anyone have proof for either side or is this all just people guessing?

I remember Mark (MY_SIR) told me that.

There was a thread on it.

I know they designed by recaros, but compare the EP3 seats to any recaro production model and then you will see the big difference!

The only Recaro's made for honda or mitsubishi that I like are from the Evo8, and the DC5R(japan). Some of the Recaro made for Audi is pretty sweet too. (RS4) ^^
