Rps sensor? Assuming the piece that sticks on the windshield? Sorry I'm not too familiar with alarm systems.
I have to do the same thing to remove the alarm system out of my car, I figured to use a sharp blade, while prying the whole assembly off slowly cut behind there. After to remove the glue residue either use guegone or clean the windshield with a razor blade.

So hold on a sec...you want to remove the rps sensor...but you still want the led light??? as far as i know...the two are both built into the rps sensor...you can only remove the entire sensor/led or leave it. Maybe i misunderstood your post...but if you just wanted it gone...then your probably gona have to pry it and razor blade it off. Use goo gone to remove the residue left over. I know with my compustar pro 2wfm900 it was a pain to remove when i had my windshield replaced...but if don't want to break the sensor...slow and steady will get er done
