No stero unless ignition is turned to the "crank" position
I am unable to get any audio from my stereo unless my key in the ignition is turned to the "crank" position. The position where the fuel pump primes.
any idea on where to start troubleshooting?

I would have to say that you, or who ever wired your stereo, wired your RED wire to something that tuns on while the key is in that position.
Either wire your RED to the original Honda Power Source, or wire it to your lighter, or something in the fuse box you know turns on with ACC1 or whatever the key position is called.

As F8i said, wiring issue.
And its not crank position you are talking about, its acc II or ignition ON
Just re-wire the power cable to anything that has enough juice and won't blow the fuse from power surge. Or as stated, wire directly to fuse box.
