NO power to Radio Suddenly!!!

NO power to Radio Suddenly!!!

I drive a 96 Civic Hatch with a aftermarket panasonic radio....... recently when i started the car.........no power to the radio was happening..........what could be the problem??

Check the fuses there will be two, one under the drivers dash and one under the hood check the one under the hood because those usually go first.

Why would a Fuse just burn out???? what could cause this?

playing at loud volumes for long periods of time can cause the fuse to melt or just flat out blow. The fuse under the hood is only 7.5 amps so check it that could be the problem.

or it could be a short-circuit between wires from your headunit

Thanks for your help everyone!

All the fuses seem to be fine.........i am gonna swap in another radio to see if the deck is done!!!!!!

Did you test to see if the power wire is infact getting power? Check that and the ground.

How old is the deck?

Does it have a security code or smth that is blocking it ?

it is a aftermarket deck with no security...........i replaced the deck with another one and still no power...........so it is not the deck that has the problem.............it is the power wire!!!!
