Mids & High = No sound?
 

So I recently connected my Deck / Amp / Sub with no problem

Few minutes into a song, the mids & highs completely cut off - Not 1 sound out of them.

So I check the wires on the back of the deck, making sure all colors match, tape up wires that I'm not using, and make sure everything is correct.

So as follows, it works 1 moment, the next moment cuts off. Sometimes I have to turn the deck off, back on for it to work maybe 3 minutes max, then to shut off.

Any ideas?

This is an on going case, and driving me insane, I've even tried 2 decks = Same issue.

Is your amp going into protect mode?

No, music still plays - sub is still going.

My mids / highs = Are not connected via Amp.

You more likely already checked but did you make sure the connections to your speakers aren't loose?

Btw, did you just twist and tape your connections or did you use solder? Also did you absolutely make sure when taping none of wires were exposed?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm treating you like a noob, just trying to point out the very simple things first.

No pun taken, I truly do appreciate you trying to help me out.

- Electrical Tape
- Taped all wires including one's that I'm not using.
- Verified multiple times
- Do you have a 9 milli? I'm about to shoot myself. Haha.

Try and eliminate each speaker and see which one "could" be a suspect. It could be something as simple as a bad connection, it's worth trying out and seeing.

It's happened to me before, I was VERY tired when I was looking at the problem but noticed the next morning one of connections in the front right speaker was exposed from bad taping and it was touching metal.

I would honestly solder each connection, it offers a better stable connection.

Also for the amp, is it attached to the deck or some Aux switch to turn it off??

Thanks for the input so far, so apparently it's my right passenger speaker that's causing a shortage, I'm not sure how that's possible - but so far, that's my conclusion.
