Leaking water in my trunk! Help.

I'm leaking MAD water in my trunk! After a big rain fall I usually have a puddle in my trunk well, and everything gets rusted (car jack, etc)
Does anyone know where the problem might be coming from? My V-Dub buddie says they have a taillight gasket seal but don't know if Honda's have the same.

Drill in a drain hole, i did it on my winter car. just make sure you rocker gaurd or rust paint on both sides of the hole.

MY buddies old 93 Si would always leak water in the trunk too. It ended up being his trunk lid wasnt perfectly aligned and therefore the Gasket/seal wasnt touching properly which would allow water in.

Another former friend of mine had leaking in his trunk and could never figure it out till after he gutted his trunk of the carpetting but left his system in there. The bass would actually cause the trunk lid to push up slightly, just enough to allow water in while he was pounding the beats in the rain.

Soo, if you have a system in there, it could be the same thing. Pounding the system in rain may cause slight seepage.

are u retarded?

Check the rubber stripping first, then the headlight gaskets. If its alot of water, its usually the stripping and plz don't drill any holes

Maybe on a winter beater like the guy said he did on his, but not on my car.

It might be my trunk lid because it is slightly off aligned.

I'd definitely start by replacing the trunk seal first before drilling any holes. When replacing the trunk seal, make sure the truck is aligned flush with the rest of the car to ensure a tight fit. Then see if it leaks again.

You can also check if the sunroof drain hoses are connected properly.

Hey I had the same problem with my integra check the gastkits that go between the tail lights. after it was painted these cocksmacks forgot to put one in and the other was not installed properly. The water drains down the gutters and drips down thru that way.

No, I just can't find the leak, and until the summer when I can pull the roof liner (Frosty the snowman and I decided it wasn't the time of year to gut the interior) I had to do something, and fyi a small drilled drain hole can be fixed no problem.

Next I don't think I am a retard, you are: If the trunk was leaking water why would you check the healight gaskets????? could you shead some light on you reasoning. Thanks!

When I searched I found that most leaks are actually caused by the tail light gaskets. Wierd but that's what it is.

Your right sometimes is it a tail light gasket, do your tails have water or condensation in them.

Just an FYI the guy said check your headlight gaskets tho. That is why I was knocking his idea.
