Interference sound from speakers
Hey dudes...
When I turn the gains up on my amp.. I get some interference sound coming from my speakers. To get rid of the interference (a hissing and clicking sound faint but noticeable)... I need to turn the gains down.
Why is that? How do I get rid of this?
Do you guys have the same problem?

well yeah thats simple
"gain" is exponential sound growth ... so the scale on the "gain" control is the exponant
anyways ... GAIN is not what you should be using for volume control there is a volume control **** for that .
general rules in Threatre sound systems was gain should be set as low as possible to achieve best sound levels when volume control is at 3/4ths maximum
I'd assume this same rule shoudl be used with cars as well....

and that noise is exponantially amplified by the gain before noise suppression circuitry ... the noise becomes so amplified that the noise suppression circuitry ceases to see it as noise and rather as part of the signal

yep what jay said
in other words when you turn the gain up, its trying to amplifier the same source that may be at a low level to begin with, so if its low and you crank the gain any small amount of noise is going to be amplified alot.
To solve this get a line driver to boost the source coming into the amp so gains stay at a minimum and you will have less chance of amplifiing any surrounding noise
