How to wrap the armrest on the door panel

Yesterday i tried wrapping my armrest on the door panels, but i cant get the corners to mold properly. it folds and looks ugly, I was wondering if anyone had done it before and knew a way to get over the fold in the corners. so it's nice and smooth aroung the ends.

Heres a picture of one done by someone else

u need a heat gun or hair drier to heat up the vynil and u pull it and make it so its not all bunched up...its pretty easy to do, hard to explain

Would a sheet of black fabric be easier then working with vinyl? I'm thinking of doing mine in black. What do you guys think?

It has to be stretchy material. Like said above take a heat gun and lightly heat the vinyl and pull it over the corner and pray ur glue is strong enough.

Done wrapping armrest

Well i took the advice on the heat gun and tried it myself, here is my door panel all done.
http://civicsir.loconetworkz.com/finished.jpg

i started this morning around 8, i used 3m 77 adhesive spay from CT . i began by spraying both vinyl and armrest waited the 30 seconds for it to thicken, then i placed the vinyl on top, used a glue gun stick as a roller, because of the flexibility and made it easier to do the corners. I used a heatgun to strech the vinyl at the corners anD with the roller pressed down on any air bumps. the corners still have some bumps as you might be able to see. but not bad for my first try.
I just finished armrest in the middle heres a pic:

Good job bro.

I also have tried to do mine, but at the time I didn't have a heat gun, and I didn't have the right adhesive.
Now that you mentioned a good adhesive, do you know where a heat gun can be purchased/rented? Preferably rented, or if someone has one that I could borrow that would be awesome.

Thanks!

4 way stretch vinyl is what you want. Most fabriclands or whatever probably dont carry it in the color you want, but it makes a huge difference in laying vinyl. 4 way is designed to mold better around edges. 2 way stretches one way back and forth, 4 stretches back forth side to side.

it only took me about 4 hours and thats because i messed one up, i cut the edge to close so had to re do it.
if anyone want help in doing this feel free to ask i can help out.
