Horn Not Working?
Hey guys!
I currently drive a '95 Civic Si Coupe, and apparently my Horn isn't working.
What's the best way to get it workin' again? Any suggestions / tips / appreciated.
Tired of not being able to honk at the idiots on the road or the prrrdy girls that pass by -
A sincere thank you in advance.

Okay, from being tested, the Horn itself is working, jus' the wiring is off. And if I want to repair it, that would mean I would have to take apart my actual steering - if I'm not mistaken, which I'm worried about because it has an AIR BAG in it, and I don't want that to go off.

The Airbag light is not on. And Cruise Control doesn't work either, any ideas?
Hmm - I guess the question is, how do I fix both?

Have the same problem a month ago. You're gonna have to bring it to mechanic or honda specialist, have to replaced the inside part of your steering wheel that connects with your horn n cruise control...part cost about $125-130...and you're good to go!
Good luck man!

If you can manage to take it out yourself, go for it but you still need that part from Honda.

lol... i understand that you are saying that the steering wheel is fine... and that its just something INSIDE the steering wheel... but what im trying to say... is .... wouldn't it be better on your wallet to find a used steering wheel with the part INSIDE working fine for like 80 bucks if that... instead of paying around 130 bucks for the part and then install costs.

The part you're looking for is the spindle.... it allows the connection of the horn/cruise/air bag from the steering wheel to the rest of the car without any tangling of wires while you turn. Should be relatively inexpensive if you can pick one up used.
Looks like a black plastic hub with a ribbon wire on it.... It's not "inside" the steering wheel but rather bolts underneath it.

@JDMman : I understand your point, but that also leaves the chance of it not working, when they claim it is working, or the chances of me finding one, which can be a hassle. If the Mechanic's and/or Specialist charge too much that isn't worth the cost, I'll definitely go your route.
@majikstic : Do you know any DIY for this installation, because the last thing I want to do is ignite the AirBag.
@JLM SIR : So this Steering Clockspring would fix my Cruise Control and Horn?
PS> I couldn't possibly thank you enough. Truly grateful, thanks pal.

All the information you require to remove the steering wheel is in the Haynes manual (worth the $20 at crappy tire).... Their procedure also covers what precautions to take with the airbag. Once you read it you'll realize that it's quite simple.

@ Majikstic : Would you happen to know how to do everything without deploying the AirBag, or would it in this case, this book help once again?
I would told "It's really not that hard to replace and the airbag won't deploy IF you remove the negative battery cable and install the protector (red jumper adapter) on the air bag when you unplug it..."
@ JLM SIR : The actual term is, "Cable Reel". That's what some dude told me.
