help with new head unit

b4 i start i'm a noob @ car audio

that being said i'm looking @ the new sony deck that plays dvd's but the out put is only 2 volts..is there any way i can get good sound out of it?

i currently have an audiobahn sub (1000W rms) and sony xplod speakers all around (came with caR) the 4 speakers arent hooked up to an amp, but the sub is hooked up to a rockford fosgate punch amp (cant remeber poer rating)

thx

sure ya can..
the 2v won't be used in reference to your fronts as they'll be running off your regular speaker wires (you said you have no amp)...so refer to the wattage coming off the deck speaker lines..
as far as the bass, again ya..are you running rca's?? my clarion has 2v out..just means you might have to kick up the gains on your sub amp to accomodate for the weaker input signal or add in a line driver to boost the signal a bit

yeah, sure it will work fine, my Clarion has 4V-outputs, very good soundquality, but 2V will also do good.
