I have a 2000 honda civic cx

I am getting just a basic intake for $50
honey comb grill for $50
front lip mugen style PU for $50
back lip for $60
yellow fogs OEM for $120
MIGO coilovers for $170

anyone got any better prices or suggestions?
and if so...what else should i do to my car other than swap an engine and doing the whole exhaust system?

I need good prices and location for the bargain...thanx

$170 for coilovers is just gonna be sleeves ontop of stock struts and they'll blow up eventually. Possibly blowing out your tires while traveling down the road or highway.

If you actually want your car lowered pick up struts to go with those coil overs. or get an entire 1pc assembly (Big money)

other than that every other price seems fair. Are they installing all this?

leave them oem, or go for black housing if anything. also i would skip on the coilovers and just save up for a full coilover set. itll turn out better in the long run

thanx Rick for the pictures...spoon does look really nice...
I was debating between the two myself...your car looks nice stock like that...that answers my question of halo or oem...im going to keep my lights oem...
heres a question..anyone notice the difference in performance based on the intake?
ie. whale, aem...what diff does it make...whats wrong with just a regular 50$ intake?

Do not waste your money on brand name intakes. the cheap 50$ intake is just fine. Hell find a used one or just buy the filter and make your own.

For coilovers i would not suggest the cheap coilovers. if your budget does not allow you to purchase $500+ coilovers, then might aswell just get lowering springs.

For headlights, i would just use OEM maybe blackhouse em if you got some time on your hands.

thankx

I tried to keep it looking as stock as possible. Very few mods on the outside

Paint job ( painted those ugly black trims)
lowered
type r front grill
spoon front lip
rear lip
tinted headlights (not too dark cuz it is illegal)
tinted tail lights (same as above)
16" rims
23% tint

Dont rice out your car too much... clean look is much better

agree .. Intakes are overrated , they dont give you that much power ( maybe 1-2 hp) , so if you could grab even a used one it will be ok , just make sure you buy a new cone ( which is like 30$).There are better ways to mod your car. I would worry more about a nice exhaust system ( apexy , vibrant). or headers.

good luck

thanx for the quick replies guys...
hmmm...i guess im going to leave my car the way it is till i can afford better coils i guess...i might as well get the 50$ intake, seems like it'll do the trick.
and yeah..i hateee honda for how cheap they make the window trims...why cant they just make em black instead of putting cheap black paint on it..argh
and i hate honda seats too...i bought these el seats "leather" and we all know its vinyl and they are so cheap...eventually its going to rip and i know it lol
but anyhow...i like my little machine...its got so much potential..so far im going to worry about the outside look first...then worry about swappin the motor to hopefully a b18c...everything comes with a big price...LOL
still looking for more suggestions...ill post a pic of my car soon. thanx guy

it all comes down to your budget. You need to find your priorities , looks or performance... I went for looks first and I did a little bit of performance mods, really basic bolts on

headers
cat back exhaust
intake
breather
ngk wires
front strut bar

Now that i m done with the exterior , i want to focus on performance and get into heavier mods ( swap or turbo)

A lot of people prefer performance first and then they work on the exterior.
It all depends on you as doing both at the same time is too much money .. I highly recomend you to read and do you r homework before deciding to do a major mod.

Post pics of your car !!

Getting a full exhaust is expensive and a waste of money just like the intakes.
You can get a cheap header, which won't do much just like the more expensive ones. Get a cat back which will just make your car louder but not faster. If you will be doing full exhaust its cheaper to get the parts you want and get custom exhaust vs a brand name cat back. Hell what I always do is just get an axle back. It makes no sense changing the pipe since you should be staying with the same diameter of a pipe, so it makes no sense to change it with the same size and pay out your a$$.
I'd rather spend that money on suspension/brakes/real power mods.

Purchase my intake and lip from TooFast.
Great prices for what they are and I would do it again.

http://www.torontocivics.com/f19/00-...ro-kit-168371/

You can see both of them installed above.

Someone stole your spoiler man! I think it should be colour matched for that year. who knows..

First thing i'd do is paint the little trim piece under the window and probably the wiper arms. Givem a fresh coat of black spray paint. That'll cost like ~$10

Then, find out what colour purple your car is and buy that paint. Paint the Door handles, spoiler and mirrors to match the car. This should also be pretty cheap. ~$15?

Then tint the window meng.

I was thinking the same thing about the spoiler...but then i was assured by a few ppl that the CX didnt come with spoilers..and that this is an add on..not sure..but thats definately something im going to look into...and yea..im going to be working on my car soon and the paint is something im definately going to do...especially cuz i have a small rust spot by the driver door, so i might aswell paint the rest.
