Unhappy heater fan only works in highest speed?

I just installed an aftermarket deck into my 2000 SE and now the heat/fan only works when it's at full speed. From speed one to like 4 it doesn't do anything and then when I hit five area it's starts pumping out (not actual numbers just a scale I made up for the size of the bars).
Did I forget to plug something in? Fuse blown?

Help me out please!!! It's getting cold now and I want to fix this soon.

Thanks

I'd say the heater core resisters are blown..

There's a resister for each setting.. so some settings work and others don't.

You have to remove the heater core, open it up and change those resisters. I've done it on a camry, I'm pretty sure honda cores work the same way.

are you serious ... what part exactly is the heater core?

what could have caused this to happen?

is it from me changing the stereo or is it just a freak accident?

probably me but oh well!!

yeah, it's not from you changing your radio... it's a pretty common failure unfortunately.

all good? what did you do?

Heater core is under the dash near the passenger seat.
has 2 lines going into to for the rad, which you see in the engine bay and a wire clip from the inside.

i do like the pics
very helpful if those magical places get be sent to me via PM that would be greatly appreciated

I pulled everything out again so I could find the heater core and I noticed I forgot to plug in the brown clip (not sure what it's for)

Then I gave her a test run and she's gold now

I'm glad I've put in the deck now all I need to do is install an amp some components and a few subs HEHEHE

Damn cars and stereos are addictive!!!! Atleast they only hurt my wallet

Thanks again guys

Cheers
Ron
