Getting rid of the nasty smell inside your car
I found the best possible way to rid the nasty smells inside your car.
Get a box of snuggles (the stuff you put in your dryer for anti static clothes) and leave it open inside the cabin.
A couple of hours later, your car will smell like fresh laundry and not wet dog/barf.
Works like a mother.

Here's what I recommend. Pick up a package of those Glade things, and stick one in your vent or something. It's cheap, lasts longer than a lot of those air freshners out there.
Or...you can pick up a bottle of cologne and give your interior a couple of sprays every 3 months or so.
I just don't understand why people continue to buy those air freshners.

Tried it all
I've tried it all man. The cologne trick (doesn't last long), the glade plug in thingy (most of them smell too offensive), and 3 month old sandwich removal (left a nasty smelly green stain on the carpet).
Nothing works as well as a box of snuggles.

I didn't like the smell of febreeze. And it doesn't seem to work that well.
I'm sure pledge grab-it would work too but the orange smell may get to you after a while (it did to me). That's why I stick to snuggles, cause it makes my car so damn snuggly fresh

All these things are just masking odor...
Seems like you all have missed the obvious...
Vaccum and steam your car....
Then look at the water you sucked out...
EWWW...
That's the best IMO....

If you have the time, take out the seats and carpet and look at all the crap that's under it (mold!) eeeww. Could cause you big problems.
I reccommend a full interior cleaning. I just took apart the interior to have a look see to make sure there's no rust and crap under the carpet.
