ek cluster swap/ replacment

i currently have a cluster with no tach in it and need to swap out with one that does.

my question is will the cluster i get just plug n play, is there a tach signal already there in the harness?

should just plug and play yes. I've never swapped an EK cluster, but I have done this in a few EG's and they just plugged in and worked fine.

Yup, harness has tach signal wired already.

Quite a few Auto cars in the yards,cluster intact.. with a tach...will they swap into a 98 5 spd without problems, or should I leave them there?!?

i had to re-pin my harness to put in a dc2 cluster but very easy to do

nemo1..any issues after doing that, and is there a step by step on this site or other Honda sites? These are from an Auto trans car, and I don't really want to look at PRND@! all the time , unless it tells me what gear I'm currently flogging this thing in...like I wouldn't know.

I belive if you google it there is a way to swap the speedo from your old cluster to youe new on. At work right now so i don't really have time to google it.

I wouldmt try and turn back the odometer

doesnt really matter ur milage is registere at the dmv no? my car and cluster have 565k on them but the engines only at 160 so is everything else in the car lol
