EG Hack Backseat Removal
Guys,
I've been trying to remove the top portion of the back seats on my hatch for two nights. How the heck!?
I managed to find a 10mm bolt in the middle of the seat that released the bottom portion of the seat.
It looks like the two top portions are anchored right into the frame. Do I have to remove all the inner plastic to expose some nuts I didn't see?
Thanks

Mo
its simple
look down on the bottom of the sides on both seats.
There is a rod that comes out of the side of the seat and goes into the side of the car. If you fold the seats down and look right in the bottom corners you will see this rod. There is a black plastic clip around it, you pull that clip off then push the seat towards the outside of the car and it will come apart from the frame support in the middle of the seat where the 2 halves meet up

Thank Matt.
I found the clips long ago and took 'em off but the seats looked like they were locked in. I never thought of forcing them out, I thought there were attached somewhere else. I'll give that a try, thanks!
