2001 Civic DX-G
no power windows.
no keyless. everything is stock.
power locks =D

so all locks lock and unlock fine using the drivers side door controls, except the left rear passenger (LRP) door displays this odd behaviour:

if the LRP door is physically open, the drivers side controls will lock and unlock this LRP door fine.

but if the LRP door is closed, the drivers side controls will not have any effect on the LRP door. ie. you have to manually unlock or lock from the inside.

any suggestions? i've worked on some electrical components of the car before, so i am not afraid to open it up again and poke around, but if i could get some direction and save myself some time, hooray!

Seems like maybe there's a broken wire or something... I'd look at the wire harness for that door where it runs past the door hinges...
