door lock won't open

So my father the technically impaired old guy that he is tried to move my car last night. Well he got quite a shock when the alarm went off, the doors locked and he got stuck in the car. He tried to force the lock open and now the lock won’t open with the remote. The lock still locks but its just when I’m outside of my car trying to open it with the remote, the passenger door will open but drivers wont. What’s involved in fixing this?

Could be your actuator is nessed up. Pop the panel and have a look

I figured that, I was hoping that some had I definite answer to the problem because from what I understand this would happen to any one who tries to force actuated door lock ie. Does it actually break the actuator or what?

don't blame your father for this... when cars have quirks and/or are modified from stock you should inform the person using it on it's quirks and how to handle it.
