its a factory defect.
go back to the installer and he will replace the remote for you for free.
atleast he has too.

i am on my 4th remote already with my 900fmr.
oh if you had the 900 fmr with the white remote it will be replaced with a blue remote that is a secondary.

imo really bull****. if my remote starts to **** up again i am going to go back and return the **** and get my money back cuz everytime I am trying to fix this problem i am loosing money by not working

Yeah I had the same problem with my remote, take it back to the place you got the alarm from, and they should replace the remote. It pays to have warranty.

ya, go back to where it was installed. MY compustar would not unlock or disarm sometimes, always happened in busy parking lot like walmart or when it was most embarassing. took it back to Audio-Heaven and sure enough, it worked perfect everytime. Jeff replaced it under warranty and I never had another issue with it. Any good shop will honour the warranty and fix it, just depends on who installed it.

call jeff at audio heaven see if he will hook you up. he may have the car in his system proving he did the work, can't hurt to try. you can get his info by clicking on the affiliates link on the top right on the screen.

Also, check the battery contacts in the remote. See if one of them was pushed in too far. Pull them out a bit and the battery will fit more snug and have tighter contacts.

I found that happened to me once. I tightened the contacts and it was all good after that.

I had the same problem with mine.
The locking piece of plastic on the back for the battery was coming loose and the battery was disconnecting I assumed. A piece of scotch tape on the back fixed everything.
