Question Code protected CD/radio deck?

I have a chance to get my hands on a CD deck removed from a wrecked Accord, but the deck is code protected. I'm wondering if it is possible to by-pass the code and use the deck on my Civic instead, which doesn't have factory alarm/keyless entry.

Thanks guys!

the code has nothing to do with the security system, you'd just need to get the code from the owner's manual from the accord, check the glove box...

What if I don't have access to the car from which the deck was removed? Is there an easy way to by-pass the code altogether?

it's useless w/o the code, or w/o the ownership to prove to Honda the deck is not stolen. - get the junkyard to call the dealer with the VIN#, maybe they get lucky.

Yup your screwed. I would get a copy of the ownership with vin # written down correctly and get a signed documentation or receipt upon purchase of the deck that it was paid in full and bring it to Honda. That should do the trick
