cluster change
#3
Buy Cluster with tach. remove Old cluster. Should be 6 screws. Plug as many of the plugs into the back of the new cluster as possible. They're should be a plug for the tach behind your current cluster even though your car didn't come with a tach.

The easiest plug and play applications from Honda would be a cluster from a 1999-2000 Civic SiR or a JDM Civic Type-R cluster. These applications would be easiest if we are talking about an EK chassis. Also, as a side note, when changing your cluster be careful not to break the delicate clips when removing the plastic trim around the cluster.

^^^ what? they are all the same level of difficulty. Sir and type R are just the two nicer ones. your options are Si, SiR, type R, 1.6 El and CRV all of them are direct plug and play and they are all the exact same except colour.
Also its not a separate plug. the tach wire is included in one of two harness that connects to your cluster.
