Hey guys, i appologize if its already been asked, but i tried to search for it, but was unsucessful.

How hard is it to make a EK hatch to have power windows/doors, mirrors (if OEM)? Do the Si/R doors just swap right on? Or are they different sizes?

Also, if i were to swap GSR leathers, would it be possible to get them heated? Since they came heated in the EL's?


Any info, or even links to these swaps would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hey ya you can get them heated... if the vehical they are comming out they they where heated then you can power them up on your car.. if they are not heated there is after marrket seat warmers you can buy....

Thanks, i meant if the seats were out of a heated car, is the wiring difficult to do?

I belive that ek coupe 2dr doors will wrok on a hatch.

Wiring would be involved prolly. Didn't dx special edition hatches have pwr windows along with the midwing?

its so so... for me it be pretty easy because thats what i do,,,,, it all deopands on how giood you are with wiring.. its almost like installing a radio... if anything just give us a call and we can do it for you..

haha, cool, i'm pretty good with wiring myself, and i have enough mechanical experience to get the job done, i just like going with an OEM finish/look/install most of the time


My main question i guess would be if the hatch and coupe share the exact same door shell?!

Do jdm civics come with power windows? Can i take the power window assembly out of a coupe and does the motor, etc. bolt up, or is this a total custom job?

Nope! All EK hatches had manual windows, mirrors, no cruise, and no sunroof.

hatch and coupe civics have the same doors

one thing i found is 96-98 civics need a 96-98 floor harness to connect pw,pl

99-00 civics need 99-00 floor harness to connect pw.pl

anyone know if my 98 civic with 98 floor harness will connect to 2000 sir doors? or do doors also have to be 96-98
