Changing A Steering Wheel

Im replacing the steering wheel on my ef. Everyone says just take the centre "H" off the wheel and remove the bolt that is located behind it. Well, i was trying to turn the bolt, and it wasnt moving at all. Any suggestions?

get something with a long handle for some good leverage or put a pipe on the end of your ratchet....cause most of the time that one bolt is on there tighter than a muthafawker............

Honestly, I'm not an expert, but I think you may need to use a steering wheel puller...which you can borrow for free from Canadian Tire (just have to put down a deposit).

it will come out.... even with a simple wrench.. u gotta jerk it... Use ur right arm to jerk, and ur left arm to hold it straight.. after jerking it, it will come out.. just do is straight, or u'll damage the screw.. thats the ONLY bolt that holds the steering wheel.. after u take out the screw, the wheel will seem like its bolted with another bolt somewhere, but after u take out the middle bolt, u'll have to tap the wheel towards you with ur palm evenly at all sides of the wheel untill it comes out... hope this helps..

Simply hold the wheel with your left hand and with a long ratchet and a 19mm socket you can take it off. It's not THAT hard....

Or else you need to eat wheaties more often..
