Hello,

New to the forums so bare with me if this has been asked before. I just purchased a 97 Civic Ex. I noticed that the tape player is a seperate unit from the Head Unit. I am thinking that my best option may be a CD Changer so I have a few questions:

1- Were are the OEM changers normally mounted? (ie. trunk, under seat, ect...)

2- Are there any aftermarket changers that work with the factory HU without a FM Modulator?

3- How often do used OE CD Changers pop up in the classifieds?

4- What OEM Changers work with the 1997 HU? (ie 1992-2000)

1) its mounted in the trunk

2) probably the alpine changers that are m-bus? (the opposite ones from the ai-net ones)

3) not too often does it come up for sale, but i might consider selling mine lol, pm me and make an offer

4) not too sure, but from 96-98 ur good, mines from a 96

i have a 98 ex and it came with a 6disc changer ill post pics of how its mounted..... although it sux cuz things roll in the trunk and hit it

well mine came with a bracket that mounts to the roof of the trunk (not the lid)
so i've never had anythign hit it

only a real hard bump or too much bass made it skip
