Just starting to get into car audio, and looking to build up knowledge. Anyone have/know of resources that they would like to recommend to someone starting out? I'm sure there is some on the 'net, but sometimes things are wrong. Any help?

if i can find my IASCA handbook it's yours Jonny..
the rules have changed slightly for '07 but it essentially covers what you'll need to know, especially if shooting SQ

Head Units - Basic info on the 411 on head units (aka. deck)

Amplifiers- Tells you what RMS wattage etc. is when looking at amps.

Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams - Tell it the # of speakers you have & the voice coil impedance and it spits out diagrams for you to use.

4 ohm Single Voice Coil = 4 ohm Load
Dual 4 ohm Voice Coil = 2 ohm Load

Two Subwoofer System
4 ohm Single Voice Coil = 2 ohm Load
Dual 4 ohm Voice Coil = 4 ohm Load
Dual 4 ohm Voice Coil = 1 ohm Load

Three Subwoofer System
4 ohm Single Voice Coil = 1.3 ohm Load
Dual 4 ohm Voice Coil = 2.67 ohm Load
