broken bolt

broken bolt

hey i need some help i was changing my seats for my car and i took a bolt out off of the seat when i put the bolt into the socket again ...half of the bolt is broke ...now i need to take the other half from the socket out but i dont know how .. :s.. help me out .. i dont want to break the thread.. but if i have to i will ... maybe i can get it threaded again after..donno any shops that will do it ... help me out with suggestions.. :s.. im so lost.. ahhhhh...... going insane

wait, is it stuck in the socket wench? try heating up just the socket and expanding the metal, or take the socket off the wench and hit the bolt with a hammer thru the hole....not really sure what your describing

so the bolt is stuck inside the socket wrench??? I'd just drop the socket a few times...the bolt sometimes just pops out. Or take the socket off the wrench and use a flat head screw driver to push it out from the other end.

put some spray lube in it, throw socket on ground untill it pops out or put socket in vise and with a punch, hammer it out, this way in much better if you plan on reuseing bolt so you dont damage the threads
