Anyone have a faulty gas indicator?

It's possible that sulfur in the fuel could be contaminating the contacts on the fuel sending unit. What kind of fuel are you using?
The other possibility is electrical. Are you using the stock gauges? Did this start to happen after adding something?
My SiR is fine. I purposely avoid Esso but now since lower sulfur regulations have been put in place, it shouldn't make much difference.
About the gauge moving when going up/down hills, that is normal. The gauge works off a float in the tank and when you go up/down hills, the fuel moves causing the float to move... You can also get the same thing to happen by going around a corner quickly.

Interesting....I haven't heard of that problem with Civics. I know a lot of GM cars have crappy sensors in the gas tanks. The gas and the sensor react and the sensor actually starts dissolving...good old GM's. If you find out the problem post it.

i had a similar problem, one my gas tank would drop to below full, the gas gauge would totally drop to empty. Honda told me that i needed a new sensor. But i just stopped using my fuel injector cleaner, and 2 gas tanks later i was back to normal. Ive always used esso supreme gas, so i dont think that was an issue.
