ok the horn is a simple "make the ground" circuit with a switch (the horn button). so imagine if you will you have one wire going to ground, one wire going to the horn circuit... when you press the horn on your wheel those two wires touch, and the horn circuit completes to ground. so, eliminating the horn button means if you take the wire going to the horn circuit and touch it direct to ground, the horn will sound. THAT wire is the wire LEADING to the horn circuit. the OTHER wire that when you touch it to ground nothing happens.... that wire IS the intended ground for the horn circuit. So now, you connect the intended ground wire to the one side of the horn button on the steering wheel, and on the other terminal for the horn button you hook up the wire leading to the horn circuit. so when you press the horn button the horn circuit completes to ground and "MEEEEEEEP" you got horn :)
read that over a few times, it might take a few passes before it really sinks in. also, you can't hook up that red wire from the horn circuit to just anywhere on the wheel, it has to hook up to the connector that is stationary and allows the wheel to be turned without ripping the wire out... I certainly hope your hub has one of those, else your hub is teh g3y. B |
bbarbulo heres the hub and everything i got from it unless they gave me short of what im suppose to get

wow those are the smallest pics I've ever seen, can you provide slightly bigger ones, and one of the steering column (just the bare shaft where the hub will mount) prior to install plz? I installed a grant steering wheel and hub for my buddy on his sidekick winter beater, but I don't remember much about it, it was pretty straight forward. I need visuals so I can tell you what to do.

and where the hell did you get that big red wire from? like where did you remove it from?

ok in the first pic, that little gold colored thing right by the steering shaft, pointing to about 1 o'clock (if the speedo is as twelve o'clock)... is that metal? if you take a peice of wire and touch ground at one end and touch that lil gold thingy with the other end of it... does your horn sound??

awww **** me!! I did some research, turns out the horn and all that stuff is all integral to the SRS, so when you removed the airbag you lost that contact point.... so you have to basically follow these steps if you wanna keep the horn button on your steering wheel
