5th gen dashboard swap /w 7th gen
is it possible to swap the 5th gen civics dashboards with the 7th gen? im well aware that it would be a great deal of work but will it fit? and of course you would have to swap the door panels as well too. will those fit as well? has anyone done this before?
thanks

Are you swapping a 7th Gen dash into a 5th Gen Car?
OR
Are you swapping a 5th Gen dash into a 7th Gen Car?
Either way, I think you're looking at something very difficult that requires a high level of customization.
The Width, Height and Depth are completely different.
I think location of the vents are different as well, so that would require you to build custom duct work in your dash...
Would take a lot of time, but you'd be the coolest kid on the block!
However,
You can direct swap an 3rd Gen integra dash into a 5th Gen Civic.
Pretty much a direct bolt in application.

hey when you said you could direct swap an 3rd Gen integra dash into a 5th Gen Civic and that it was pretty much a direct bolt in application, did you mean for just the panels and dash themselves or does "direct bolt in" applies to wiring and what not with a/c controls, vents, etc.? if this is true, then could i do this on my own or will i need a professional to step in?

After all, 3rd Gen tegs are built on the EG platform
All your vents line up.
All the panels line up.
With Vent Controls, Clock, Cluster... you would use the ones built for the 3rd Teg Dash.
If you've ever taken your dash off, you'll know all your instruments use a male/female plug set up, so those things would be plug and play.
You can do it yourself, just be patient...
The only known complication I know of, is that you might need to shape your interior door panel to accomidate the dash.

Couldn't I just swap the 3rd gen 'tegs door panels with the civics? that would be another cool thing to do. i think they look sportier anyways.
