4 Farad cap
I would like to know if 4 farad cap will do any harm for a 1000watt RMS system?
now i know its an over kill for the system, but i just want to know, if it will do more harm then good. or is there any harm at all using 4 farad for 1000watt rms.

There is no harm, but keep in mind that a cap will not aid the constant power surge. it will help provide a constant flow of electricity from it to amp, but if alternator cannot keep up with charging, then you will still get crazy spikes in voltage.
