1.6 EL climate control into a 98 Civic Problems
 

Okay so i got this 1.6 EL climate control

to put into my 98 Honda Civic

one problem I am facing is that it just dont fit properly

Putting in the 1.6 EL climate control, fits okay...had to cut tabs to make it fit flush sorta

here is where the problem is, when putting in the EL climate control

the thing wont sit completley flush, seems that the vents on the 1.6 EL are preventing the consule to fit..

so does this mean its not going to work?

should i just modify the vents on the EL climate control to make it sit flush?

so far the most problem is the vent, remeber me mention about a quater of inch of the 1.6 EL vents wider then the civic...

the civic has center mounted vents...the EL is off too the left & right...

hummm any ideas?

modify the vents. I had to do th esame thing when I did the 99-00 climate control conversion.

vents from the el need to be used or you will have to cut away at the vents you have now.
also the el centre console wont work because they have different plugs.
