it's really simple to do just have some hose for the cooling line and the pcv valve

and remove and install just make sure you have a new intake manifold gasket and a throttle body gasket

use a automatic y8 as well unless you plan on going obd-1 get a manual one and plug the holes with jb weld so it can be removed later

and also stay away from the 99-00 manifold they have air injection holes that need to be plugged as well if you get that one

it takes me about an hour to do it now lol

ok i just finished connecting everything.....i couldnt tighting the middle bolt on the flange...does that make a big difference???

also my rpms are high at 2500. as soon as i started the car it jumped to 2000 and slowly climed to 2500...then it bogged a little and then jumped back to 2300....how do i fix this??? did i cross anything??

now the rpms are just jumping up and down.

should i put my y7 IAVC(that is the 3-pin white module on TB???)???

all 5 injection holes are plugged with JB weld.

yes you should put the y7 on there it should be a 3 wire or it won't idle

And you have to tighten that centre nut as well or you will have a bad vacuum leak

i think something was wrong with iacv on y8TB. its was also 3 pin. I replaced it with y7 and its fine now. here is another thing i am noticing...i cant drive over 2000 rpm....when i punch the gass it just bogss and then a hear a squeal as if there is a over tight belt. when i let go of the gas its back to normal...but when i gradually accelrate its ok.so confused...dont get it!! you ever face that issue bwek??

hi bwek thanks for the help...i could figure it out...i have everything tight and no leaks...the car stopped surging...put on a oem intake and the squeling problem went away...the only problem left was that the car was running to rich...it kept on throw white smoke out theback right on start up and obviously if i accelrate more then more white smoke comes out...couldnt figure that out...so i dismantled everything and put my y7 back on...gonna do the swap again after my exams are over and ttry it out again

BWEK i will definately need a hand and i will give u shout once i start on it again.

meanwhile any suggestions as to why my car would be running so rich?
