I was wondering if the 3" vibrant muffler on a stock exhaust system would be quieter or louder then the smaller sizes that the vibrant comes in? ? I don't want 2 loud of a set up, i can get pretty annoyed driving on the highway for 2 long.

I would guess the 3" will be both louder and a bit deeper/lower toned.

If the rest of your exhaust is only 2-2.25" then it is a waste, performance wise, to go with a 3" muffler. If you're only using it for sound, go for it.

It will be louder and it will pop at times. I would suggest using the same size in as the piping on your car.
