Vibrant exhaust too loud

Car came with 2.5" vibrant exhaust, car is way too loud, like insanely loud. I was wondering if puting a resonator on it will make much of a difference?

Would I lose power if I buy a ebay muffler with a silencer?

If it doesn't already have a resonator, that will help a bit. Resonator mostly gets rid of the higher-pitched sounds and raspyness.

You won't notice any power difference by changing the muffler.

To make the car quiter, you need to change the muffler. From what I recall, those mufflers by vibrant are open chamber with hardly any packing or sound deadening. I had two different vibrant mufflers on a civic and integra, both had just the muffler, and both were stupid loud.

An ebay muffler with silencer may do the job, but it won't sound good. Saw many of those around, and personally I dislike the sound (maybe cuz they have full exhaust with no cat and a shitty resonator).

What exactly are you looking for? Want stock? Deep? Relatively quite? Explain

Get the apexi ws2 muffler and you will be happy

i have an 08 civic coupe with the 1.8 ,can anyone recommend a nice muffler that fits like stock,is used with the resonator and has nice deep sound but doesn't drone on highway?

what model? and a lot of reputable exhaust shops can order you a muffler.

I like the fireball one, but it doesn't seem like you can get a silencer with those.

I hope you meant with 3" tip. Unless you're running turbo, 3" piping is too big.

OP try calling optionJDM, they may be able to order it for you. I haven't come across a part they couldn't order lol. Even got some Volkswagen parts haha
