Spoon Venturi plate

Has anyone ever had one of these on their B16 intake manifold? Ive got one when i purchased a longblock. Its good for mid-range power but top end loses, i guess this would be great for road racing but not good for dragging. This seems to be like a restriction but i would like to hear would you guys think of this.

Here is a pic of what it looks like: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...a/DSC01294.jpg

And here is what it looks like in a diagram: http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgur...26tbs%3Disch:1

Would definitely help low to mid-range torque. Seems like for daily driving it may be usefull...other then that, I would not use it. I like my top end power...

Variable length and diameter itb's would be the ultimate... Long and narrow for lower rpm, short and wide for high rpm.

Workin on it.....

Funny that you say that, because Yoshio by Yorkdale told me the exact same thing about this plate. He told me it would work well with ITB's. hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Yeah, it would have really snappy response throughout the mid-range, but the top end would suffer a bit with the venturi restrictors in there...

I'm working on building a set of variable length itb's...

Let me know how it turns out. Are you doing them from scratch or using 999 or Hyabusa itbs?

I have a set of itb's from a toyota 4age 20valve engine that I will be modifying/working with.

It'll be a while before it's actually built/functional...need money and time. lol.

Working on cad drawings for it at the moment...
