Skunk2 Intake mani with AEM fuel rail
So i had bought a d series intake manifold a while back and i just picked myself up an AEM fuel rail for my d16y8.
My question is the skunk2 intake manifold has 3 studs coming off to give the fuel rail something to mount too. But the Fuel rail is meant for a d16y8 and has 2 offset holes for mounting instead of 3 evenly spaced. I am seeing if anyone has had this problem or knows any ways about fixing it. My idea for now is getting a piece of flat bar and drilling 3 holes for it to fit on the manifold, then drilling to offset holes for the fuel rail to attach to. Basically making a bracket to sit in the middle of the mess. |
So this is what i ended up doing, Everything is tight and sealed from what i can tell. Any questions feel free to ask.

good stuff,
so if i understand this right, the fuel rail you bought was not for Y8? but you modified to make it fit |
nope AEM has it right, it was meant to fit the y8 manifold not the skunk 2 manifold. For some reason the skunk 2 manifolds just make 3 even mounting screws, or the one i have did anyways. The y8's only have 2 mounting screws
