Please tell me what gasket this is...

Hey guys,

2000 Civic SE 4dr

The downpipe which connects to my midpipe I guess... theres a gasket in between the two, would you happen to know what its called and for that matter, where I can get it. The gasket has met its time throughout the years of wear and tear and needs replacing.

My cars beginning to sound as if Ive got a full exhaust system on it, crappiest part about it is that I can hear it exhausting from underneath my feet... its driving me insane.

I wish I could have taken a pic for you guys but I totally forgot while I was under there and quite honestly Im too sick to raise it back up and scoot underneath. So i drew what I saw for you to give you a better idea.

The gasket is obviously the big yellow thing, the two pipe have 2 bolt holding them together while being spring loaded for flex I assume.

Thanks in advance,
Darryl

You can get it pretty much anywhere. Parts source, napa, any exhaust shop, or even Honda. Something like that won't cost you very much.

I especially like the circle with the close up of the action....lol.

This donut gasket is only like $6-10 from any exhaust shop.

I paid $4 for it from Part Source.

They have all that **** in stock....infact if you want, I have a brand new downpipe for sale with the gasket that goes to the cat and the one to the mid-pipe already with it.

When i had the D16y7 in my car, that front pipe from the bottom of the cat that goes to the mid-pipe broke off so I bought a brand new one with both frotn and back gaskets. Now i swapped my motor so I have this pipe just sitting around.

lol thanks for all the comments, Ive done a lot better drawings but seeing as it was after midnight that was the best at the time.

Turns out I had the gasket in the garage from an older model Civic, dont even remember purchasing it but hey, cant argue... went to Napa Auto Parts and got the spring kit for $7.00

Thanks again guys,
Darryl

Thanks guys... changed it last weekend, sounds has essentially disappeared. ahhhhhh peace and quiet! but man it was a battle... first bolts didnt want to loosen, had to heat em up and lube, then the new spring kit didnt want to fit, not to mention i misplaced my C clamp and had to compress the new springs by hand... ugh! anyways, thanks again.

mmmmmmm donut

On another note , if the flanges are rusted off you can always get a bolt on split flange kit, not the fancyiest thing but they work.
