b16a first gen, stock everything else in a 91 hatchback. Apexi vafc (will be removed first thing tonight) 2 1/2" exhaust from manifold back, and B&M fpr set to stock.

So on my way to and from scarborough last night (picking up a friend) my car started acting weird. First just felt a little down on power, having a hard time doing 160km/h on the way there. Picked the friend up and then it started, acting like a rev limiter at 3500rpm. When letting off the gas popping and almost backfiring. first i thought it could be a fuel pump, but its not running at lower pressure. why didnt honda make an external coil that would be easy to diagnose and replace...?

Anyways, I am in need of an ignition system now. suggestions and referals would be great, let me know what you have. Thanks

Honda's coil packs are pretty easy to diagnose IMO.

If you want to venture into Oakville, myself and zeeman can take care of your vehicle for you.
