Hi Guys,

My 06 civic is throwing a O2 code (have access to a code scanner) and it looks as though it will need to be replaced. Kind of shocking that a 06 needs this changed out. Dealer wants $280 + $50 labour + look up code fee.

Q: Isn't the O2 sensor similar to the older generation civics?
Q: Isn't this extremely easy to replace?
Q: Does anyone have a service manual so I can do this myself?

Thanks.. really don't feel like dropping 4c's, but I know I need to fix the problem, already see the gas mileage dropping.

Q. Why isnt it covered under your warranty? My 06 EX had one replaced under warranty.

My 06 has 65k on it, so the dealer won't cover it.. Code - I'll get the code tomorrow..

it's only over by 5000km, i'm sure your dealer can cover it out of goodwill

Hey - we'll actually it has 72km on it, dealer told me its not covered - Halton Honda. The fault code is P2A00/PA200 (computer crashed as I was capturing some screen shots). Funny thing is that the engine light was off the whole day then turned on this evening on the drive back home. Thinking it might be a loose connection. Is the sensor accessible? Thanks,

The sensor plugs into your exhaust somewhere. I assume one up near the manifold, or in front of the cat and one afterwards. (I THINK?)

my buddy just bought an 08 civic it threw an 02 sensor code with 38km's on it lol

280 for a sensor...geez rip, and another 115 to read it, ur already over 4, ur gonna be close to 500 to change ur 02 sensor, thats F*$#!n crazy!

You gotta find if its primary sensor or secondary sensor.

Primary - b4 cat, reading AF
Secondary - after cat, reading emission
