was up guys, ok so i swapped out my vx intake mani for a si mani.....the si mani has a rear brace that is clearly beefier than the vx mani brace, my problem is that i cant get the two bolts that secure the vx brace to the block out..rounded,rusted and very stuck! so my question is, do i need to use the bigger brace or even a brace at all? thanks guys,

this one may be a liitle late for you but no i have never used ine and i have a b18 with an eldelbrock manifold and there is not one on that or on my b20 in my intergra.

yeah, i never used the brace on any of my d-series motors, never had any problems.

I never had them on my B18B1 civic's or even after I went LS/VTEC
