Jdm racing header

Hey I'm new at this headers bizness... So I was wondering if getting a jdm racing header would be as good as getting say a dc or a skunk 2 brand?

Nice first post... Welcome!

What is a JDM racing header. Honda didn't make any racing header even for the Japanese Domestic market. Is this like a ebay brand? Never trust ebay brands....

I guess CTR,ITR,S2k and NSX have JDM racing headers but they won't fit your EM.

Your options are a little limited with your model. DC sports makes a decent header for your motor.

Yeah... Never heard of it... Unless they just supply the headers... It's stainless steel.. Would that matter? Or would a ceramic header be better?

The RSX header will not fit on your car.

RSX is for K engines only.

No offense your motor is probaly the worst motor to modify its an econo slushbox, its basically pointless to spend money on a header when you won't see any gains for it??

I better tell you now before you get flamed on by others. Its header, not headers cause we only got one exhaust manifold not two like a v6 or v8.

Those are all B-series headers. They will not work on his D17. Like T-Mack stated, those motors are hard to pull power from. There are headers available for it, but they aren't going to do much for him. I'm not to sure on what's involved in swapping in a K, but I believe the engine bays are set up the same way.

So wouldn't be difficult to swap to a k engine? Pretty much drop n secure? But then the tranny has to be switch too?

there will be quite the ammount of work to do to get the k in there. you will need new a full swap, with transmission, ecu, shafts and few other things.
k swap is also not cheap. it all depends on your budget and how much power you are looking to get out of it. it would be around the same price or cheaper to get a b-series motor and turbo. would result in more power anyways.
