Intake Manifold Nut

Anyone have any pointers for getting the middle nut off underneath the intake manifold on a d17a1? Damn thing is on there pretty good, the area is way too small to get a socket in so I am stuck trying it with a wrench.

Just sprayed the **** out of it with some penetrating oil, letting it sit for a bit

Got the f*cker off lol, stuck the wrench on it then got out from under the car and pushed it with my arm through the wheel well -- much easier! Cracked it almost instantly after it soaked in penatrating oil

Haha, those are the things you learn when you start working on cars.

Nothing is impossible, just need to think outside the box

Especially if you are working at home, think very far out of the box lol.

Reminds me of when we were pulling the 4.9L V8 out a caddy a while back (which is going in my friends fiero for ice-racing... ). There was one bolt holding the trany to the block and it was hidden, nearly unaccessible down on the back side between the block and trany under the rear exhaust manifold. We ended up getting out it using about 6 or 7 long extentions in through the passenger side wheel-well, all the way accross the back of the engine to the other side...lol. But we got it!
