Hole/Crack on Exhaust Manifold

I recently ran over a chunk of ice or snow, and with a lowered civic it ended up cracking, or putting a hole in something between my headers, and exhaust, or its right in the split of the resonator and the headers.

It's to cold to fix it at the moment, but i put together a few clips to show the problem, anyone else ever have this happen? and if i have to replace anything? or is there any sort of fix for it? Thanks

Tough to tell what the problem is... just looks like a leaky exhaust to me... get it up on a lift and you'll get your answer. I can't imagine ice punching a hole through a resonator, unless, of course, it's made of tinfoil.

yea .. it might have shook the pipes and maybe shifted the gasket so it burned or what not, or busted a rusty bolt. It happened to me after that blizzard day too, accel feels sluggish so my exhaust is probably leaky just too lazy to get it fixed atm

I would have agreed with a bolt or a gasket but after watching the clip..... its all f'ed up. you need a new flux capacitor I think

heheh seriously it sounds like the doughnut gasket at the flex point isn't seated properly. I think you can get them for 20 bucks and the spring kit for 5 is worth the investment. Try and wiggle the flex joint around you might get lucky and it'll seat better than it is now for a Temp fix.

your exhaust could just be real rusty and the bump just freed up a bunch of rust and now its leaking, so an easy fix could be replace the gaskets and the spring kit would be good too, and just make sure you use a lot of exhaust sealer

btw its header not headers... you only have one lol.

that's been my guess had I read this earlier. goin on the fact that it looks OEM down there. I'd say (since you parked it) nows the time to start saving up and do a full header back exhaust set up in the spring. stainless won't do this to you.
