Whats up guys,
just trying to figure out on my 95 civic if the heat shield on the top of my resonator is necessary?
only reason im asking is that its coming loose and making a bitch of a rattling sound so i wanted to get rid of it or fix it

what do u guys think?

i ripped off every heat shield my car has

just take it off, I'v had all mine taken off..

Most exhaust shops will pull it off for free, or a small fee.

i also here a little noise( a rattle) and i know its not from the resonator
i gotta find out what it could be... u guys know of anything else that would rattle on a honda.. generally on a revdown ude hear it.. i know its some metal but i dont know where :S

Do you feel it in the shifter? Lol cuz that's what I'm getting.
Hm and about the heat shield, on my old civic and current Integra, all heatshields are taken off.

well problem has been fixed
removed all heat shields

noise is gone
BUT
i notice on a rev down 2500- i hear a faint rattle

heat shield has been removed on my cat and res
what else could it be

short shifter bushing? Shifter coming loose? Header shield?(check when cold.)
We check by putting a rag on our hand, and bang the exhuast under the car... idoit proof.
